A quick post today to get perspective. I deleted several eBlast newsletters today. Some were from arts organizations I know. Some were from people I know. If it isn’t relevant enough to me, or I simply do not have time, I will delete.
What is really needed is content that speaks to the person you are sending to and a more personal approach in general.
Take a look at your analytics data. Who is opening and who is not? Why?
However, if one of these people I know were to send me an individual, personal email about something relevant to me, I don’t delete it. I read it and respond back.
Let’s get the real connections back, or at least find a way to make your eBlasts less of a blast!
Cheers to happy and loyal audiences,
Shoshana
