Why I Like It: Sometimes it is fantastic to see art shows that have a theme that relates to our every day lives. I like my food spicy so why not art that is spicy too!
Why I Like It: The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra invited audience members with instruments to play onstage during a concert. They also received a pep talk by guest soloist Hilary Hahn. The woman who won the benefit of performing the triangle part (an intermission benefit auction item that went for $550) was also a part of this performance. I'm sure these audience members had an amazing experience getting this perspective, and the witnessing audience members were sure to be having equal fun knowing that someone they know is on stage with the pros!
Why I Like It: Timely bracket voting for classical music repertoire right in beat with the basketball bracket craze, nice connecting the dots here!
Why I Like It: This new idea is getting people that rarely go to the theatre to not only go, but to sit down and talk about what they liked or didn't like about their experiences. Engaging with new theatre attendees - awesome idea - and you get a podcast to engage your regular audiences too.
Why I Like It: Having exhibits which are relevant to people will bring in an audience.
Why I Like It: Creating art with your friends is a fun, hands-on, collaborative project. We can continue to set up projects like this one for our audiences!
Why I Like It: This idea has worked for me. It's another example of how you can use social media effectively to build relationships. I wrote this one!
Why I Like It: Showcases are a good idea and having one specifically for arts for youth will help to build younger audiences.
Why I Like It: What's not to like about this idea? Having the head of state government want to put the arts as a big priority to make their state unique is a fabulous idea for many reasons!
