I think I mentioned this once before, but now that the world is getting smaller and smaller with virtual performances, I will say it again.
If you continue to use CSO, DSO, etc., that could mean more than just your orchestra. The CSO to me is always the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, even though I live in Colorado now, another CSO.
Maybe it is good since it helps to recognize all orchestras with those acronyms? Or maybe it will cause too much confusion in the near future.
If everyone is CSO or DSO, etc., uniqueness will be lost. And when uniqueness is lost, so is branding.
