I am in between book editing at the moment. My first book should be coming out by the end of this month! I will keep you posted.
In the meantime, I had a weekend to simply think:
- I came across yet another theatre website that barely has photos and videos (only links), the type was tiny, and the site overall was text heavy. This company has some really good programs for the community, but with their blah branding, they may not get noticed. I do have a solution for making sure your website and other marketing is audience development friendly!
- Here is an article about time – Not enough time for classical music [or theatre or dance, etc]| San Diego Reader. The author is correct. Our time is limited, and our time is being hunted by all sorts of entertainment options. What will it take to get an audiences’ time? Really, really good audience development!
- Opera keeps making the news with new operas, 30 Days of Opera community engagement programs, and an opera singer singing through his surgery? Hey, at least creativity is still alive!
- I am still looking for ideas and guests for the ADS Podcast. Contact me if you are interested!
- Social Media is becoming less and less social. Are you having conversations or are you simply using social media as a megaphone for marketing? Feel free to converse with me on Twitter!
- Your thoughts here, or rather, in the comments section.
I will end this with a tweet I posted on Saturday: If you want the audiences to feel the excitement of what you offer, you gotta provide it for them! #auddev
Cheers to happy and loyal audiences,
Shoshana
